San Diego Padres
The San Diego Padres are a professional baseball team that play in the National League West division. Their home field is Petco Park, located in downtown San Diego. The Padres have been to two World Series, losing both times – in 1984 to the Detroit Tigers and in 1998 to the New York Yankees.
Some of the more famous players to don a Padres uniform include Tony Gwynn, Trevor Hoffman, Dave Winfield, and Ozzie Smith.
Bruce Bochy was the manager when they lost to the Yankees in 1998; he is currently the manager of the Giants. The current manager is Andy Green.
